Madeline Island Kayak Tour:
Big Bay Sea Caves (3 hrs) $65 per person
Kayak through the sea caves and along the shoreline cliffs at Big Bay State Park on Madeline Island! The tour begins at Barrier Beach within the State Park; you are responsible for transport to the State Park. Your kayak guide will provide a short introduction of the area, paddling instructions, and safety procedures. Then you will start your paddle around the point to explore the shoreline of sandstone cliffs, slots and sea caves. The tour is approximately 3-4 miles round trip paddling in 2-person tandem sea touring kayaks*. We require a minimum of four people per tour in order to go out. Morning and afternoon tours available. Minimal to no experience necessary. Come on the adventure of a lifetime!
Please note that each client must be at least 8-10 years of age and at least 60lb to participate in our tour. This is a minimum and depends greatly on the other people in your travel group. A 60lb client cannot properly paddle in a sea kayak (and use the peddles) with another participant who weighs 200lbs. Varying conditions with wind and waves require that both people in the kayak must be able to pull their own weight (literally) and keep up with the rest of the tour group. If a family of four wishes to kayak then two people with the most similar weights must ride together and have enough strength and stamina to stay with the group. Dependent on experience, participants must be at least 14 years of age to paddle solo.
Prices exclude WI state sales tax, a 7% State Park surcharge fee, and captain/guide gratuity.
*If you are an odd numbered group, one person will have to paddle in a single person sea kayak; experienced kayakers only. See more info in our Kayak Tours FAQs.
