The Apostle Islands National Lakeshore is in the backyard of the Midwest. These amazing islands are the most popular kayaking destination in the world! This group of 21 islands in Lake Superior offers an intriguing history, unique wildness, and many outdoor activities like boating, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, and beach combing.

The sea caves, cliffs, and sea stacks of the Apostle Islands are comprised of layers of red sandstone deposited over a billion years ago. After the glaciers receded from this area, Lake Superior's force has created the amazing rock structures we see today. The geologic changes are still in motion. You will boat and/or kayak through living sculpture of sandstone that has been etched out by wind and waves. The time you spend with us promises to be an adventure you will never forget!
