Bolder Options is a non-profit agency that works with at risk youth in the Twin Cities.  Their volunteer mentors build strong positive relationships with the youth through running and biking programs that help teach the youth to succeed in all of life’s races.

Nov 5 - 11, 2008 - 49 individuals set out to be apart of the Bolder Options destination fundraiser in Athens Greece running the Classic Marathon.  28 runners/walkers and 21 guest supporters.  Each runner raised money for Bolder Options; this fund raising goes directly to providing funds for youth and mentors to be apart of the program. 

New relationships were made and old ones strenthened over the 5 days the group was in Athens!  From the welcome dinner, 3 island cruise, race expo, pre-race dinner and post-race celebration there was nothing but gigantic smiles across everyones faces.

The trip was a blast!  Very life inspiring for many.  We were lucky to be with new and old friends, in a historically rich destination, running a monumental race while raising money for youth in need of positive changes in their lives. 

Thank you to each person involved with the trip one way or another.  From fund raising programs to runners training and every financial contributor; good job contributing our worlds future - the youth of today.
